Jedidiah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport

I
always enjoy a peaceful drive through Jamesport; miles
of beautiful farms and vineyards, quaint shops, lovely
beaches. In fact, there is one place where for me,
time actually stands still: The
Jedediah Hawkins Inn, a restored Victorian
mansion set on 22 acres, stands both serene and
majestic, it is a breathtaking sight.
Men be
warned; it only takes a moment for the charming bed and
breakfast to evoke the most romantic images in this woman’s
mind: luxurious linens, oversized chairs beside crackling
fireplaces, a graceful decent down the staircases, a brides
train sweeping across the grounds. Although maybe I
should also mention that the new management is making an
effort to lessen the formality and extravagance of your
experience.
The
new streamlined menu still includes rich choices like Long
island duck confit, seared halibut, and mustard encrusted
rack of lamb, but the sportsbar offers typical tavern fare
and the Captain’s cellar is an casual yet intimate place to
enjoy the impressive selection of Long Island wines.
Rich in history, meticulous in detail, and newly outfitted
with flatscreen tvs, the Jedediah
Hawkins Inn offers romance everyone can agree on.
